Cultivating Spaciousness: Last Call for Our October 20-22 Retreat

Come join Kathryn Lorenzen and me for the Big Picture Retreat to come home to the work, art, or service you most want to incorporate into your life over the next year. Meeting Fri., Oct. 20 - Sun., Oct. 22 on the beautiful autumnal grounds of Unity Village (on the south edge of Kansas City, Missouri), we'll cultivate the spaciousness necessary to hear ourselves think, consider what's most on our hearts, and converse with our callings.

This true retreat invites you to step out your everyday life and consider your path ahead as well as what planning, guidance, and good company will support you on your way in dreaming up and mapping out the work you want to do. This could entail re-configuring your livelihood, starting (or finishing) a passion project, exploring what post-retirement possibilities resonate most with you, or turbo-charging what you're already doing. For most of it, this also involves fostering greater self-care and calm.

We have lots organized to give you replenishment along the way, including:

  • Creative prompts, energizing discussions, and vivid presentations from Kathryn and me on discovering what's next for us, immersing ourselves in seasonal planning, and investigating supports to carry us through the next year.

  • Meeting, eating, and visiting together in Hummingbird Vista, a historic home on the Unity Village grounds with comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces, such as this one (see photo to the right) where some of last year's participants enjoyed some coffee and conversation.

  • Delicious food provided by chef and gardener Stephanie Lambert, including farm-to-table homemade and healthy options.

  • Luxurious eco-accommodations at the Unity Village hotel (we have just a few rooms left).

  • Meditation guidance from health coach and healer Laurie Fickle to help us develop and integrate greater mindfulness and vision in our everyday lives.

  • Time to roam and rest, take in the spectacular fountain display at Unity Village (the largest in the Kansas City area), wander the trails, perch on the deck or on one of Unity's benches, or write and read in the coffee shop/bookstore on the premises.

  • A marvelous group full of new friends coming together from four states.

If you'd like to talk with Kathryn or me or you're ready to register, please reach out (you can email me here).
